Oxfam Change Initiative
US based college students entering their sophomore or junior year
can take advantage of Oxfam America's leadership training and
become skilled and knowledgeable agents of change. The CHANGE
Initiative exposes students to the international development issues
that direct Oxfam's work. CHANGE Leaders use their skills and
insight to run Oxfam campaigns on their campuses and in their
local communities. Deadline to apply is April 1st.

Semester in NOLA:
An Academic Service Experience
A five week summer program incorporates internship experience with
an academic course. Includes intensive service assignments in local
and national organizations focused on rebuilding New Orleans and
providing service to those affected by Hurricane Katrina. Students
will also participate in an interdisciplinary academic course, taught by
Tulane faculty, earning up to six hours of credit at Tulane University.
Deadline to apply is April 24th.
Total cost of program is $4750, which includes tuition, housing, limited
transportation, activity costs, and a limited meal plan. A limited number
of scholarships are available.

Boston University Summer Study Internship Program
The Boston University Summer Study Internship Program is a unique 12-week
program that provides visiting students with an opportunity to gain academic
credit and hands-on work experience. Students take two six-week summer
courses in the Core Phase of the program, and are placed in a full-time
internship in the Boston area during the Internship Phase of the program.
Students also participate in a two-credit internship course as part of the
program. The deadline to apply is May 8th

Camp Quality Heartland

Camp Quality Heartland is an organization that sponsors a summer camp for kids with cancer (and their siblings). Each camper has a responsible adult who serves as a companion 24/7 throughout the entire 5 day camp. The best companions are those who like being around kids & those who like the atmosphere of a summer camp.

Staying in Omaha for the summer? Looking to volunteer? Heartland Housing Solutions, a housing program for homeless families, needs help with childcare! We would help on Thursday, May 21 from 5:45-7:45, Thursday, June 18 from 5:45-7:45, Thursday, July 16 from 5:45-7-45, and Thursday, August 20 from 5:45-7:45. We will feed you dinner!
