Fr. Bucko, S.J. Potluck Dinner Tradition

An annual Creighton tradition that started many years ago was the idea of having several potluck dinners each academic year with staff, faculty, and Native American studetns.  These communal get-togethers have been important to community building, support, and celebrating accomplishments.  Many of the early potluck dinners were coordinated by Fr. Ray Bucko, S.J. in addition to support from the Office of Multicultural Affairs, Student Support Services, the Native American Studies Program, and others.

In the Spring of 2012, the Office of Multicultural Affairs approached Fr. Ray Bucko, S.J. and asked if they could name the PotLuck Dinner series after him.  Fr. Bucko graciously agreed and today the Fr. Bucko,S.J. Potluck Dinner Series bears his name!

The Native American Studies Program and Office of Multicultural Affairs will host two more gatherings for Native American Students. Faculty and staff are encouraged to join us.

Home baked donations are always welcome. Store bought items can be brought as well.  Our meeting place is Ignatius House behind St. John’s Chapel at 5:30pm-7pm on November 1st and 15th, 2012. Honored Host: Fr. Ray Bucko, S.J.
