Your Freshman Year is critical to your ultimate success and at Creighton we care about assisting you to get your college degree! Here are two important resources you should know about....
At Creighton, we begin the year with a Welcome and Blessing for all new students, families, alumni, and others with our Annual Native American Welcome and Cedar Ceremony. This annual tradition occurs on campus in the Jesuit Gardens directly behind Creighton Hall on "move-in" Saturday of Welcome Week. This ceremony is important to the Creighton community as it allows us a the opportunity to welcome new students and families--spiritually and culturally--to the Creighton family!
During Welcome Week, you will be put into a group of other freshman students and atttend various transitional programs--that are both fun and help prepare you for collegiate life (in and out of the classroom)! Be sure to attend all of Welcome Week as it gives you a real advantage in starting your college career!
Be sure to review our "Checklist for Success" each semester. It has many good tips and hints for your academic career--and if you ever need additional help, contact the Center for Student Success and Retention at 402.280.5566
