Dr. Zieno has lived most of his life in Bellevue, Nebraska. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Nebraska in Omaha with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. He obtained a Masters degree in Counseling at Bellevue University – concentrating on counseling theory and verbal therapy. After completing his masters degree, he realized that he missed the psychopharmacologic aspect of human behavior modification. He decided to go to osteopathic medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and found that he most enjoyed studying Psychiatry. He enjoys spending time with his family, wife, and dog and watching old classic movies. He has also been working on a children’s adventure novel, “The Adventures of Simon Spleen,” though lately he has not had as much time to work on it. He also does some gardening and plans on “rehab-ing” his backyard. He was the Chief Resident from 2011-2012 and has joined on as faculty at the VA Hospital.
