Dr. Abbas came to the US from Egypt at the age of 18. He attended Rutgers University and received his Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences and went on to graduate St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine in Grand Cayman in 2011. He enjoys reading, soccer and running.
Dr. Chong graduated from Ohio State University with a BS in health Communications and thereafter from St. George's University School of Medicine. She holds an MD, MPH, and an MBA. She is an unofficial food critic, unofficial travel agent (has been to over 30 countries), an independent music and concert attendee, and was on Alias and Sabrina the Teenage Witch as background actress. She is currently serving as Co-Associate Chief Resident, Nebraska Psychiatric Society RFM Representative, Psychiatry Resident Organization President, and is a High School/Medical Student Mentor and Teaching Assistant.
Dr. Hour completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California-Riverside. She then graduated Saba University School of Medicine in Netherlands Antilles in 2012. She enjoys movies with “great dialogue” and is an avid Stephen King and Alfred Hitchcock fan. She also enjoys playing basketball on her free time.
Dr. Hovav was born in Israel and moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1985. She graduated with Honors from Ross University School of Medicine in 2006. She went on to complete an Internship in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC, but left after a year to rethink her role in medicine and focus on being a mom to her two children. She became a Weight Watchers leader after she lost nearly 100 pounds. She later joined the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and completed a three year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Brain Stimulation and Neuroimaging in Mental Illness. She then worked as a Director of Neuromodulation and Pharmacogenomics, and was thrilled to join the residency program as a second year. She continues to publish and collaborate with experts around the country. She currently serves as the Area 4 RFM Deputy Representative to the APA Assembly, representing Resident-Fellow Members in 11 states.
Dr. Lotfallah was raised in Kingston, Ontario Canada and completed his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at Queen’s University. He graduated St. George School of Medicine in 2012. He enjoys following most sports and in his spare time loves to go golfing, going out with friends, and exploring new nightlife in Omaha. He also enjoys travelling and has been to several countries.
Dr. Maeser was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Masters in Biochemistry from Utah State University. He graduated from the University of Sydney Medical School in 2010 and worked a year as a general medical intern in central Australia. He is a happy husband and proud father.
Dr. Mary attended Wayne State in Detroit for her undergraduate degree in Chemistry. She went on to graduate from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine in 2012. She likes volleyball, cooking, baking, and arts & crafts.
Dr. Robertson was born and raised in northern Minnesota (Hibbing), and spent most of her childhood enjoying the great outdoors- snowmobiling, figure skating and swimming. She graduated from Hibbing High School in 2004 and went to the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. After graduating in 2008 with a B.S. in Biochemistry and a minor in Women's Studies, she continued her education at Creighton University School of Medicine. She found her true calling of Psychiatry in her M3 year and decided to stay with the Creighton program to continue to work alongside the attendings that inspired her in medical school. In trying to remain a well-balanced person, she became PADI certified in Scuba Diving during her first year of residency. She enjoys spending time with her new husband, traveling, and playing with her dog. She is currently serving as Co-Associate Chief Resident.
Dr. Sharma did his undergraduate training at Roosevelt University where he obtained a B.A. in Psychology. He subsequently went on to attend medical school at St. Matthew’s University before beginning his residency training. Prior to starting medical school, he worked as a pharmacy technician for a number of years. In his spare time, he enjoys listening to music, playing video games and spending time with close family and friends. He is interested in pursuing a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
