How many classes can I take?
We recommend that you limit your course enrollment to no more than two classes per semester. The Next Step program is intented to provide you with the opportunity to supplement, not supplant, your academic program while in high school.
Can I drop or withdraw from a class?
Pay close attention to drop/add and withdrawal deadlines (these dates vary by semester). If you officially "drop" a course prior to the start of the semester, tuition and fees will be refunded (if already paid). For official policies on dropping and withdrawing from courses, refer the Undergraduate Bulletin.
In which building/room will my class meet?
Your printed course schedule will have the building abbreviation and room number for your registered course. You can request a Student Resource booklet. The booklet lists the building abbreviations and has a campus map.
I am not a Nebraska resident. Is there a different tuition rate?
No. Since Creighton is a private Jesuit university, the tuition is the same for Nebraska and out-of-state students.
Are NextStep students eligible for scholarships?
Unfortunately, we do not offer scholarships for NextStep students due to the significantly discounted tuition rate.
Can I live on campus?
No. The Next Step program is not a residential academic program, therefore, campus housing is not available.
I'm graduating from High School this May. Can I take summer courses through the Next Step program?
No. Once you graduate from high school, you are no longer considered a high school student, therefore, are not eligible to take courses through the Next Step program. However, you can register for summer courses at Creighton as a non-degree seeking student at the regular summer tuition rate.
I want to go to Creighton after I graduate. How do I find out more?
