After your Registration Day
Did you get the courses you wanted? Great! Sit back and enjoy the rest of your summer.
Did you not get the courses you wanted? Registration continues through the remainder of the summer, so login to the NEST and check to see if a desired course has opened up. If so, add that course to your schedule. You can only register for a maximum of 18 hours without special permissions, so you might need to drop a course to allow you enough room in your schedule to add one.
Caution: if you drop an existing course from your schedule and decide you want to add it again, you will not be able to do so if the course is closed. Courses may close quickly, so be careful about doing this.
Matters you should discuss with your Faculty Preceptor:
- If you make any major changes to your schedule (e.g., you're pre-med and you drop General Chemistry because you think 17 hours are too many)
- If your academic interests change and you have decided not to do nursing as your major
- If your health (physical or otherwise) changes drastically and you do not think you will be able to do the schedule you originally signed up for
NOTE: DO NOT DROP CHM 111, BMS 111, or RSP 102. These courses are required for all nursing students on the 4-year plan of study.
