Dean Chris Bradberry Appointed Interim President

On Jan. 20, 2015 , J. Christopher Bradberry, Pharm.D., dean of the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions, began his term as interim president of Creighton University. He will serve in this capacity until Daniel S. Hendricson S.J., Ph.D., takes office on July 1, 2015.

Serving in a transitional role for leadership is not new to Dr. Bradberry, who served as the interim vice president for academic affairs for eight months in 2013, prior to Edward O’Connor, Ph.D., joining Creighton as the University’s first provost.

Daniel S. Hendrickson, S.J.,
Selected as 25th President

Rev. Daniel S. Hendrickson, S.J., Ph.D.Daniel S. Hendrickson, S.J., Ph.D., a Nebraska native, graduated from Mount Michael Benedictine High School in Elkhorn, Neb. He earned his B.A. in psychology and theology at Marquette University and then entered the Society of Jesus. He has earned master’s degrees from Fordham, Santa Clara, and Columbia universities and his Ph.D. was awarded from Columbia University. Fr. Hendrickson serves on the Board of Trustees of Creighton University, as well as on the boards of Boston College and Xavier University, both Jesuit institutions.

Fr. Hendrickson will take office at Creighton on July 1, 2015, succeeding interim President J. Chris Bradberry, Pharm.D.

Father Timothy R. LannonFor more than three years, and for the first time in its history, Creighton University has been led by one of its own, Timothy R. Lannon, S.J., Ed.D., a graduate of the class of 1973.
