BlueLine is a learning management system that allows professors to post course material online for your access, as well as being the platform for online courses. This system allows you to check important announcements from specific classes, contact class members, and view grades for certain classes. 

Creighton is currently transitioning from BlueLine Classic to BlueLine2 during the 2012/2013 academic year, so your instructors maybe using one system or the other. Check with your instructor to find out which one is being used. The following section below are the minimum requirements for BlueLine Classic and BlueLine2.

Computer Hardware Requirements:

• 2.5 GHz Processor
• 4GB RAM
• 500 GB Hard Drive
• DVD+RW Dual Layer Optical Drive
• Windows 7 or Apple OS-X 10.6
• Wireless 802.11 a/b/g/n for mobile devices

Web Browser Requirements:

• Internet Explorer 8 or higher
• Firefox 7 or higher
• Safari 5 or higher
• Google Chrome 11 or higher

Browser Plugins:

• Adobe Flash
• Silverlight--For BlueCast Playback
• Java--for BlueCafé

Software:

• Microsoft Office: Use your student eligibility to purchase a copy of Office at a discount.

Internet Connection:

• A broadband connection of at least 500 Kbps download speeds--Kilobits per second
• A broadband connection of 1.5 Mbps--Megabits per second--is recommended
