How will workers’ compensation pay my medical bills/salary?

How will workers’ compensation pay my medical bills/salary?

If you have a work related injury or illness that is accepted as a workers’ compensation claim your medical bills will be reviewed by Creighton’s Third Party Claims Administrator (TPA). The TPA will issue payment directly to the medical services providers for all acceptable expenses related to the incident.  Salary replacement, or indemnity benefits coverage, begins after a one week waiting period during which you will need to take sick or vacation time.  Once the waiting period is over, you will be paid 66 2/3% of your gross, average weekly wage by our TPA.  Contact the Risk Management Office (x5833 or kbooton@creighton.edu) for detailed information.
