What Fed meeting means for investors, homeowners/buyers

Historically, stock returns are highly correlated with Fed interest rate changes. In Invest With The Fed, my co-authors — Gerald Jensen of Creighton University and Luis Garcia-Feijoo of Florida Atlantic University — and I found that from 1966 through 2013, in a falling Fed interest rate environment the S&P 500 returned 15.2% annually.

Poll Shows Cash Rents Declining at Record Pace

A February 2016 poll of Indiana farmers suggests an 8% cash rent decline this year, for example. Creighton University's Rural Mainstreet Index (RMI) reported a similar dip in its April report, down 7% from 2015.
