Creighton Professor Probes Protein Connected to Autism

The medical community knows more about autism spectrum disorders (ASD) today than ever before, but countless questions still remain. A two-year National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant will continue to further the understanding of the disorder by funding a Creighton professorís research into a protein that may play a role in its development.

Clinical trials of new meds have generated $2.5B in goods, services for Nebraska since '99

Researchers at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Creighton University and other centers across the state need people to participate in trials, Trewhitt said. Minority representation in trials especially needs to increase, he said, noting that African-Americans and Latinos are grossly underrepresented in the U.S. clinical trial population.
