Arizona Dentist Receives Creighton’s 2006 Alumni Merit Award

Robert G. Griego, D.D.S, will receive the 2006 Alumni Merit Award from Creighton University’s School of Dentistry, on April 21, 2006, at the School of Dentistry alumni reception and dinner at the Qwest Center Omaha.

Griego, a 1969 graduate of the School of Dentistry, is a man who is not afraid of hard work and has earned the respect of his peers. For the last 35 years he has owned his own practice in Phoenix, is member of the American Dental Association, Arizona Dental Association and the Central Arizona Dental Association. Through the years he has also been the president of the Arizona Dental Association, delegate to the American Dental Association and was a board member on Creighton University's dental advisory board.

Griego’s hard work and dedication to dentistry has not gone unnoticed. He has been honored with the title of Fellow by the American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, Pierre Fauchard Academy of Dentists, and the Academy of Dentistry, International.

The Creighton Alumni Merit Award is given out annually to an outstanding alum at the specific school or college’s alumni event. The recipient must be a degreed alumnus of Creighton, have provided distinguished service to the University or his or her community which clearly exemplifies the University credo and they have to have a personal quality that makes them as cultured and of high moral principles guided by the Jesuit ideal of being men and women for others.
