Move-In Marks the Beginning of School Year at Creighton University; Academic Record of 2006 Freshman Class One of Creighton's Strongest

On Saturday, Aug. 19, life at Creighton University begins for the freshman class of 2006 as they move in to their new home for the school year. The Freshman Move-In runs from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at 24th and California streets.

In the past four years, Creighton University has enrolled its strongest academic classes ever, and this year’s freshman class of 960 students is no exception. The class of 2006 will be recognized as having the highest academic profile in the history of the University, complemented by an impressive list of service and leadership involvements.

Creighton places strong weight on the leadership and service abilities and interests of its applicants. The University also places a higher weight on academic performance in the classroom and balances that with the students' demonstrated intellect, along with their academic and professional goals.
