Creighton University Featured in College Guide and Best Neighbor List
Princeton Review Inc. ranked Creighton among the nation’s top 361 colleges and universities in its 2007 edition of “The Best 361 Colleges,” released Aug. 22, 2006. Creighton also was listed as one of the 163 Best Midwestern Colleges.
The review quoted Creighton students as saying smaller classes allow for one-on-one attention and that there are lots of opportunities for undergraduate research thanks to the University’s five professional and graduate schools.
Only about 15 percent of the four-year colleges in America and two Canadian colleges are in the latest Princeton review Annual College Guide. There are more than 3,500 colleges and universities nationwide.
In a related story, Evan Dobelle, Ph.D., president of the New England Board of Higher Education (NEBHE), has released a list of 25 “best-neighbor” urban colleges and universities. The “Saviors of Our Cities” list, which includes Creighton University, is composed of 25 academic institutions that are exemplary examples of community revitalization and cultural renewal, economic drivers of the local economy, advocates of community service and urban developers.
