Creighton University Hosts Eighth Annual Lawler Lecture

English theologian Adrian Thatcher, professorial research fellow at the University of Exeter, England, will present this year’s Lawler Lecture at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, in Creighton University's V.J. and Angela Skutt Student Center Ballroom. A reception will follow the lecture, which is free and open to the public.

Thatcher's topic, “Marriage: Tradition and Change,” will be of particular interest to anyone who has a special interest in or concern about marriage, and especially to those involved in marriage ministry, marriage preparation, marriage enrichment and marriage spirituality. Thatcher, an Episcopalian, has published extensively on the theology of marriage and sexuality. He is an advocate of egalitarian sacramental marriage and an admirer of the personalism of Pope John Paul II.

This lecture is sponsored by the Michael G. Lawler Endowment. For further information call 280-2908.
