Creighton Dean Named Vice President for Academic Affairs at Holy Cross

Timothy Austin, Ph.D., dean of Creighton University’s College of Arts and Sciences and professor of English, will become the new vice president for academic affairs and dean of the College of the Holy Cross. The announcement was made today by the Rev. Michael C. McFarland, S.J., president of Holy Cross.

Austin will assume his duties on Aug. 1. Austin has served the Creighton College of Arts and Sciences as its dean since 2001.

"We wish Dr. Austin well in his new position at Holy Cross College, knowing that he represents the best of Creighton as he assumes a new leadership role elsewhere," said Christine Wiseman, professor of law and vice president for Academic Affairs at Creighton. "His professionalism, dedication and intellect have earned great respect across the University – not just for himself, but for the College of Arts and Sciences as well."
