Ceremony Lights Up Holidays at Creighton

Creighton University will officially welcome the holiday season at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 28, with the 21st annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony on the mall in front of St. John’s Church.

Hot chocolate and cookies will be available prior to the ceremony at 4:45 p.m..

Creighton University President the Rev. John P. Schlegel, S.J., will flip the switch on the lights following a brief blessing and scripture reading. “Christmas at Creighton” T-Shirts will be available on the mall for $10 each.

At 5:30 p.m., the public is invited to a banquet in the Skutt Student Center Ballroom. Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for children. At 6 p.m., free trolley rides to the Old Market will be available for viewing of the Gene Leahy Mall Christmas lights
