Creighton Law Lecture Features Harvard Professor
Charles Ogletree will present this year’s Lane Lecture, “Race and the Death Penalty,” on Oct. 6, 2006, at 4 p.m. at the Creighton University School of Law. Seating is limited with RSVPs required.
Ogletree is the Harvard Law School Jesse Climenko Professor of Law. He is also the executive director of the Charles Hamilton Houston Institute for Race and Justice at Harvard. Ogletree has made an international reputation by taking a hard look at complex issues of law and by working to secure the rights guaranteed by the Constitution for everyone equally under the law. He has also authored several books.
The Lane Lecture Series brings an outstanding attorney, judge or legal educator to discuss timely and important topics of concern to the legal community. The lecture series is named for Winthrop and Frances Lane, longtime Omahans who provided many charitable gifts to the community.
