Creighton Alumni Put Humanitarian Spirit into Action
Hundreds of Creighton University alumni across the nation will put their spirit of service into action on Saturday, April 14, during “The Spirit at Work,” a Creighton national day of service.
More than 14 groups from coast to coast, including the Bay Area and Washington, D.C., will take part in this national day of lending a helping hand. Services range from supporting the distribution of bulk food items to the needy and serving meals, to painting dorms and classrooms, to beautification work and cleaning.
In Omaha, alumni will be working alongside Creighton students on various projects. Efforts will include yard cleanup for the elderly and disabled, cleaning at two domestic violence centers and collaborative beautification activities with Keep Omaha Beautiful Helping Hands Program.
Interested alumni will meet at the Kiewit Fitness Center on the Creighton campus at 7:45 a.m. and work at the various sites until noon. Interested alumni can RSVP to the Alumni Relations office at (402) 280-2222 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
