Celebrating Scholarship and Academic Achievement
The ballroom in Creighton University’s Skutt Student Center was filled with faculty presenting their research during “The Academic Forum and University Wide Celebration of Scholarship,” on April 24.
The forum featured faculty research and books from every academic unit on campus and a reception honoring the achievements of those involved.
"We are so diverse it is a great way for the academic community to come together." said Gail Jensen, dean of the Graduate School and associate vice president for Academic Affairs.
The event concluded with “Reflections on the Scholarly Life," featuring speakers Wendy Wright, professor of Theology and John C. Kenefick Chair in the Humanities and Joan Lappe, professor of nursing and medicine, and director of clinical and pediatric studies at the Osteoporosis Research Center.
