Fifth Annual JayWalk to Raise Money for Jesuit Middle School of Omaha

Are you ready to JayWalk? The fifth annual JayWalk to benefit the Jesuit Middle School of Omaha is Saturday, Sept. 22 at Creighton University.

The 5K walk/run is sponsored by the Creighton University Students Union and Creighton Preparatory School. In the past four years Jaywalk has raised almost $30,000, which has allowed the Jesuit Middle School to make many necessary changes throughout the school as well as providing funding for scholarships for young males of Omaha, particularly African Americans, to attend the Jesuit Middle School.

The walk begins at 8:30 a.m. in Deglman Circle at 24th and California Streets and ends at the Morrison Soccer Stadium. A pancake feed along with prizes and a raffle will be held at the stadium following the run.

The Jesuit Middle School of Omaha offers young males of Omaha a quality education opportunity, encouraging them to claim ownership of their lives and develop themselves as responsible leaders. The training in this Catholic school includes three basics of traditional Jesuit education and prepares its graduates academically, socially, and spiritually for acceptance into a college preparatory curriculum.
