Health Commission Presents Report to Hagel

A health care commission empanelled last February by U.S. Sen. Chuck Hagel presented its recommendations for reform of America’s health care system in a Feb. 2 news conference at Creighton University.

The commission focused on all facets of health care, including health care costs and access to reliable care. Hagel said he looked forward to reviewing the recommendations and using them as a basis from which to craft legislation that he intends to introduce in Congress.

The health care commission brought together key professionals and leaders from Nebraska’s and the nation’s health care fields. J. Chris Bradberry, Pharm.D., dean of Creighton’s School of Pharmacy and Health Professions, and Daniel Wilson, M.D., Creighton professor and chairman of psychiatry, served on the commission.
