Director of Online Dispute Resolution for eBay and PayPal to Speak at Creighton
With more and more people buying items online itís no surprise that disputes over some of these sales are being resolved online.
Colin Rule, director of Online Dispute Resolution for eBay and PayPal, is the presenter for the Werner Instituteís Speakers Program at 5 p.m., Feb. 5, 2007, in room 124 of Creighton Universityís School of Law. A reception in the law schoolís Schnieder Commons will follow the lecture.
Rule, author of the book Online Dispute Resolution for Business, has worked in the dispute resolution field for more than a decade as a mediator, trainer and consultant. He co-founded Online Resolution, one of the first dispute resolution (ODR) providers, in 1999. In 2002 he co-founded the Online Dispute Project, which applied ODR to multiparty, public disputes.
He is currently co-chair of the Online Dispute Resolution Committee of the American Bar Associationís Dispute Resolution Section and serves on the Steering Committee of the Better Business Bureauís Internet program, BBBOnline.
