Director of Customer Support at Creighton Named President of HDI Nebraska

Dana Olson, executive director of customer support and training in the Division of Information Technology at Creighton University, has been named president of the Help Desk Institute (HDI) Chapter of Nebraska.

HDI Nebraska is an affiliate of HDI, the world's largest IT service and support membership association, and the industry's premier training and certification body. With 60 local chapters, HDI is comprised of service and support professionals working together through a board of directors to promote the profession.

In her position at Creighton, Olson is responsible for managing the service desk and other customer liaison and training functions. She recently completed the re-engineering of the service desk using the Information Technology Infrastructure Library framework.

A member of HDI since 2005, Olson served as the vice president of Communications in 2006 and recently accepted the Silver Circle of Excellence Award on behalf of the chapter at the 2007 national meeting.
