Creighton University’s Dean of University College, Barb Braden, Ph.D., was recognized as one of the top alums of the University of  California San Francisco School of Nursing during a centennial celebration.

Braden is recognized for her contributions to gerontological nursing. Her research in pressure sore formation, resulting in the Braden Scale for Predicting Pressure Sore Risk, has been adopted in federal guidelines as one of two measures recommended for practice.
