Creighton University’s annual Alpha Sigma Nu Rev. William F. Kelley, S. J., Endowed Lecture will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at the Skutt Student Center on Creighton’s campus.

Featured speaker the Rev. David Schultenover, S.J., professor of historical theology at Marquette University and a recent delegate to the 35th Jesuit General Congregation in Rome, will discuss “Partnership in a Global Mission: What Would Ignatius Do?”

Schultenover’s remarks will focus on the historical context of the recent meeting in Rome, the importance of a worldwide partnership of Jesuits and lay people to continue the Jesuit mission worldwide, and how the communications explosion has affected the teaching of the gospel.

A prolific writer, Schultenover serves as Consultor to the Provincial of the Wisconsin Province of the Society of Jesus and is the editor-in-chief of Theological Studies, a Jesuit-sponsored journal of theology. In 1981, he won the Alpha Sigma Nu National Jesuit Book Award for "George Tyrell: In Search of Catholicism." He also was a professor of theology at Creighton University from 1983-2001.
