Creighton Hosts Fulbright Scholar

Creighton University’s Center for Health Policy and Ethics is hosting Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence, Sabina Jafarova, of Baku, Azerbaijan.

Jafarova, a pediatrician, will be in Omaha through early June. During that time, she will serve as a guest lecturer in a number of undergraduate health science courses and interact with community institutions relevant to her research.

In Azerbaijan, Jafarova’s work as program assistant in the area of human development programs for the World Bank gives her expertise in aspects of global health and the process of health-care reform in former Soviet countries. Her research involves best practices in designing and implementing ethically sound health policies and processes.

Jafarova’s visit to Omaha was made possible through a joint application to the Worldwide Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence Program by Creighton and Metropolitan Community College.
