Wind Ensemble and Orchestra Concert at Creighton University Nov. 23

Creighton University’s Department of Fine and Performing Arts will present a concert featuring the Creighton Wind Ensemble and University Symphony Orchestra at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 23 on the Mainstage of the Lied Education Center for the Arts, located on the corner of 24th and Cass streets.

The concert will include the music of John Williams, Alan Hovhannes, Georg Phillip Telemann, Johann Sebastien Bach, Percy Grainger, James Barnes and Franz von Suppe.

The Wind Ensemble Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by Frederick Hanna, chairman of the Department of Fine and Performing Arts. Thomas Kluge will direct the University String and Symphony Orchestra. Rather than charge admission for the concert, people are asked to bring a donation of canned or boxed goods for the Sienna Francis House.

This performance is funded, in part, by the generous support of the Richard and Mary McCormick Endowment Fund for the Fine and Performing Arts, the Grace Keenan Fund and another anonymous source.
