Priest/ Author Featured at Creighton Talk

The Rev. Paul Coutinho, S. J., internationally recognized Ignatian scholar and author will speak at Creighton University’s Harper Center Ballroom on Monday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. The presentation focuses on his book, “How Big is Your God? The Freedom to Experience the Divine,” and is open and free to the public. Known as a gifted story- teller, Fr. Coutinho uses wisdom figures, folk tales, and influential stories of people from his past, to invite the audience into a more personal relationship with God. He brings an Eastern influence to Western spirituality.

A Jesuit from the Bombay province of India , he frequently leads retreats, gives spiritual direction, and trains people to lead the Spiritual Exercises. Fr. Coutinho holds masters’ degrees in both clinical psychology and religious studies, and he has a doctorate in historical theology from Saint Louis University. He currently divides his time between India and the United States .

The talk is co-sponsored by the Collaborative Ministry Office and the Jesuit Community of Creighton University.
