Creighton Walking Mall Named for Venteichers

A new Creighton University walkway mall, stretching along California Street from Morrison Stadium to 20th Sreet will be named for George W. and Susan J. Venteicher, longtime supporters of the University. George Venteicher, an Omaha real estate developer, is a 1962 graduate of the Creighton University School of Law and he and his wife have donated funds to support law school scholarships, athletics and the eastward expansion of the campus.

“Creighton University is blessed to have alumni and friends like the Venteichers who understand the vision of the University and its commitment to students,” said the Rev. John P. Schlegel, S. J., president.

The brick mall features flowers, plants and a fountain in front of Morrison Stadium inscribed with the Venteichers’ names.

“Susan and I feel privileged to help Creighton realize its goals for students. The ability to help students has been the most rewarding experience of our lives,” said George Venteicher.

Creighton University is a Jesuit, Catholic university bridging health, law, business and the arts and sciences for a more just world.
