Creighton Students Host Esch, Terry Debate on Oct. 7

The Creighton Students Union organization is hosting a debate with the two candidates for Nebraska’s Second District in Congress, Jim Esch and Lee Terry on the Creighton University campus. Scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. at the Mike and Josie Harper Center ballroom, the debate will be moderated by students, with questions submitted beforehand by Creighton students, faculty and staff.

“We are sponsoring this event to expose students to the political process, encourage people to know the issues and to vote, “ said Micah White, president of Creighton Students Union.

The debate, which is open to the public, will last one hour. Parking is available adjacent to the Harper Center, 602 N. 20th St., and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
