Discovery Day is Time to Learn about Disabilities

Creighton University students, faculty and staff can learn more about the challenges facing people with disabilities as well as the resources available to help meet those challenges during a 2-4 p.m. event on Friday, Oct. 3, at the Skutt Student Center Ballroom.

The event, titled “Discovery Day,” is sponsored by the Creighton University Americans with Disabilities Act Committee in conjunction with the Student Empowerment Network. October is National Disability Awareness Month.

There will be information booths and computer-based activities related to disabilities that affect vision, hearing, learning, mobility and more. There will be free ice cream and a drawing for prizes.
