Creighton University Hosts Fifth Annual All Nations Pow Wow April 4

Creighton University’s Kiewit Fitness Center will be filled with the sounds of drums and dancers during the University’s fifth annual All Nations Pow Wow, noon to 10 p.m., Saturday, April 4. The event is free to the public.

The Grand Entry is at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Host drums are Standing Horse, Rapid City, S.D., and Standing Eagle, Omaha, Neb. Invited drums are Mato Pejuta, Sioux City S.D. and Young Buck, Omaha Nation.

Native American arts and crafts will be on sale throughout the day.

The All Nations Pow Wow is organized by the Native American Students Association at Creighton and is sponsored in conjunction with Creighton’s annual Native American Retreat, which brings Native American high school students from across the country to campus so they can share a college experience while learning about scholarships and programs.
