Creighton Names Amy Bones Vice President

Creighton University General Counsel Amy S. Bones has been named vice president and general counsel, University President the Rev. John P. Schlegel announced today.

“Amy’s professionalism and expertise in dealing with the legal affairs of the University have been well recognized by her colleagues as well as the executive committee of the University’s board of directors,” said Schlegel.

A 1983 summa cum laude graduate of Creighton University School of Law, Bones has served as general counsel at Creighton University since 2007. She joined the Office of the General Counsel in 2002.

Previously, Bones served as vice president and general counsel at Financial Continuum, LLC, senior vice president and general counsel at Empire Insurance Companies and as an associate and partner at Fraser Stryker Law Firm.
