Neurosurgeon Joins Creighton Medical Associates

Ferdinand Matanaj, M.D., has joined Creighton Medical Associates as a neurosurgeon. He will see patients in the surgery department at Creighton University Medical Center. His clinical interests include spine, trauma and critical-care neurosurgery.

Dr. Matanaj, who is fluent in English, Italian and Albanian, will also serve as an assistant professor with Creighton University School of Medicine. He is board certified in neurosurgery with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and completed a spine fellowship at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, and a neurosurgery residency at the University of Alberta, Edmonton.

Dr. Matanaj earned his medical degree from Tirana University in Tirana, Albania, where he also completed a specialty rotation and served as part of the medical faculty.
