John Schmidt, M.D., has joined Creighton University School of Medicine as an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics. His clinical specialty is neonatology.

Schmidt is a member of the Joint Division of Newborn Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Creighton University/University of Nebraska Medical Center.

He earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2003. He completed his pediatric residency in the Joint Pediatric Resident Program at Creighton University/University of Nebraska Medical Center and a neonatology fellowship at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
