Creighton Golf Tournament Helps Those Needing Dental Services

Creighton University School of Dentistry’s Epsilon Chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OMK) is sponsoring the sixth annual Dr. Ben Kutler Memorial Golf Classic on Saturday, Aug. 22. Held at Miracle Hills Golf and Tennis Club, 1401 N. 120th St., the event raises funds to provide quality dental care to those in need. During the last school year, the Creighton University Dental Clinic spent close to $38,000 to help defray costs for patients who could not afford services.

The golf tournament honors the late Ben Kutler, DDS’45 and Alumni Merit Award winner, an Omaha dentist known for his caring and compassionate treatment of all, no matter what their financial circumstance. OMK is the national student dental honor society and members of the Creighton chapter are selected based on scholarship and character.

Entry fee for each individual golfer is $100 and persons should register by August 12. Sponsorships are also being sought for this event. To register or for additional information contact Tom Meng, D.D.S., Creighton University School of Dentistry at 280-5065 or by e-mail at trmeng@creighton.edu.
