Dr. Ali Khoynezhad Joins Creighton
Ali Khoynezhad, M.D., has joined Creighton University as a full-time associate professor of surgery. He specializes in adult cardiac surgery and endovascular aortic repair.
His research interests include open and endovascular treatment of various aortic pathologies, heart- failure surgery and minimally invasive valve operations. He is the principle investigator for six industry-sponsored clinical trials involving current and future generations of aortic stent grafts and cardiac devices.
Khoynezhad graduated summa cum laude from the University of Cologne, College of Medicine, in Germany. He completed a general surgery residency at North Shore University-Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York; a cardiovascular and thoracic surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine; and an endovascular and vascular surgery fellowship at Harbor-University of California at Los Angeles Medical Center.
