Dr. Georgios Hatzoudis Joins Creighton

Georgios I. Hatzoudis, M.D., has joined Creighton University School of Medicine as a fulltime assistant professor in the Department of Surgery.

Hatzoudis will practice general surgery and support Creighton University Medical Centerís (CUMC) trauma service.

He received his medical degree from the University of Athens Medical School in Greece and completed a general surgery residency at York Hospital in York, Penn., in 2005. He then pursued a fellowship in liver, kidney, pancreas and intestinal transplant surgery at University of Nebraska Medical Center. He had been a transplant surgeon in Sioux Falls, S.D., since 2007.

His specialties include liver, kidney, pancreas, and intestinal transplant surgeries and laparoscopic donor nephrectomies as well as other surgeries involving the liver, hepatobiliary, and pancreas. He can be reached at Creighton University Medical Center, Suite 3700 or 402.280.4351.
