Faith and the Environment Topic of Community Conference
A community conference titled “Faith and the Environment” will be held at Creighton University from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, March 29, at the Creighton University Harper Center Ballroom, 630 N. 20th St.

The conference will explore how different religions and belief systems view the environment and our role in it—especially when it comes to caring for it. Hear from four scholars who are active in environmental issues, as they speak on how their beliefs have shaped their attitudes and actions towards the environment.

- Muslim – Safei-Eldin Hamed, Texas-Tech
- Native American – Rudi Mitchell, Creighton University
An information fair featuring local faith-based and secular environmental initiatives is also a part of the event.
The conference is sponsored by Creighton University’s Kripke Center for the Study of Religion and Society and Project Interfaith.
