Creighton Alumni Lend a Helping Hand Across the Nation
Hundreds of Creighton University alumni, across the nation, will put their spirit of service into action on Saturday, April 4, during “The Spirit at Work: Creighton Alumni National Day of Service,” a national day of service and compassion in action. More than 11 groups from coast to coast, including Seattle and Washington, D.C., will take part in this national day of lending a helping hand. Services range from supporting the distribution of bulk food items to the needy and serving meals, work at homeless shelters and thrift stores, forest and land restoration, rebuilding bicycles, painting classrooms, to beautification work and cleaning.
Here in Omaha, alumni will be working at Sacred Heart Elementary School, 2205 Binney St. providing general cleaning and yard work. Interested alumni will meet at the school and work from 8 a.m. until noon. Persons are encouraged to RSVP by March 30 to Creighton’s Alumni Relations Office at 280-2222 or online at http://alumni.creighton.edu/spiritatwork.
