Creighton Negotiation Team Moves on to National Finals

Creighton University negotiating teams from the School of Law placed in the final four of the American Bar Association (ABA) regional negotiation competition, Nov. 7- 8, in Des Moines, Iowa.

The Creighton team of Alison Gutnik and Sharon Hanson finished second to the University of Minnesota, earning the team an automatic berth in the national finals. The Creighton team of Mark Rose and Jeremy Anderson finished third. Creighton was the only school to place two teams in the final four.

The faculty coach for the negotiating teams was law professor Edward J. Birmingham.

The ABA Law Student Division Negotiation Competition promotes greater interest among law students in legal negotiation and provides a means for them to practice and improve their negotiating skills.
