Creighton Welcomes Holiday Season

Creighton University will officially welcome the holiday season at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec.1, with the 24th annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony on the mall in front of St. Johnís Church.

Creighton University President the Rev. John P. Schlegel, S. J. will flip the switch on the lights following a brief blessing and scripture reading.

Following the ceremony, students and guests can enjoy a holiday meal, available for meal exchange or $7.45, in the lower level of the V. J. and Angela Skutt Student Center. The event will feature music, food, Santa and his elves.

Throughout the evening the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) will provide Olley the Trolley rides to view downtown Omaha holiday lights.

The event is sponsored by Inter-Residence Hall Government (IRHG).
