Creighton Dance Company Presents the Nutcracker

Creighton Universityís Dance Company presents the Nutcracker, Dec. 2-5 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m., on the Mainstage of the Lied Education Center for the Arts located at 24th and Cass streets.

Tickets are $12 for general admission, $10 for seniors and $5 for students and faculty. For reservations call (402) 280-1448 or online at boxoffice.creighton.edu

The ballet tells the story of a young girl, Clara, who is given a Nutcracker doll by her uncle for Christmas. She falls asleep and dreams that she saves the Nutcracker doll from the Rat King during a fierce battle. The Nutcracker then comes to life as a handsome prince and whisks her away to the Land of the Snow and finally to the Kingdom of the Sweets where she is the guest of honor.

The production is funded, in part, by the generous support of the Richard and Mary McCormick Endowment Fund for the Fine and Performing Arts, the Grace Keenan Fund and an anonymous donor.
