Creighton to Host Classical Guitar Recital Nov. 14

Classical guitarist Kristian Anderson will hold a guitar recital at Creighton University at 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov.14. The concert will be held in the choir room of the Lied Education Center for the Arts at the corner of 24th and Cass streets.

Refreshments will be provided following the concert. A freewill donation of $10 is suggested.

Anderson, a Minnesota native, received his doctorate from Florida State University, where he studied with one of the world's preeminent guitar pedagogues, Bruce Holzman. He has played throughout Europe and North America; critics have hailed his performances as "showstopping" (dallasmusic.com) and encompassing "prodigious virtuosity" (Soundboard). He currently plays with the Tantalus Quartet (www.TantalusQuartet.com), which has performed at Carnegie Hall and he is an official artist for D'Addario Strings.

The concert is sponsored by Creighton University, the Omaha Classical Guitar Guild, and the Omaha Conservatory of Music Guitar Fund.
