Creighton Vice President Borchers To Receive Bar Association’s Special Merit Award

Patrick J. Borchers, Creighton University vice president for academic affairs, has been selected as co-recipient of the Nebraska State Bar Association’s (NSBA) 2009 Award of Special Merit.

He will receive the honor at the NSBA’s Annual Association Luncheon on Oct. 15, noon-1:30 p.m., at the Doubletree Hotel in downtown Omaha.

The Award of Special merit is presented to individuals for services advancing the legal profession, the administration of justice, and public interest. Borchers served as dean of the Creighton University School of Law from 1999-2007.
