Creighton Choral Concert on Oct. 14

The Creighton University Chamber Choir and the University Chorus will present their first concert of the fall season at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at St. John’s Church on campus.

Titled “Sacred Music Through the Ages,” the concert will feature the work of composers such as Mozart, Brahms, Schütz, Victoria, Rutter, Fauré, Duruflé and others. A. Barron Breland, Creighton assistant professor of fine and performing arts, will conduct the chamber choir, and Stephen W.R. Sheftz, Creighton resident instructor of fine and performing arts, will conduct the chorus.

The concert is free to the public; canned goods will be accepted for the Siena/Francis House. The concert is made possible, in part by the generous support of the Richard and Mary McCormick Fund for the Fine and Performing Arts, the Grace Keenan Fund, and an anonymous donor.
