Creighton Brings Disney‘s Professional Development Program to Omaha
Creighton University College of Business is bringing the Disney Institute’s traveling professional development program, “Disney Keys to Excellence,” to the Omaha business community.
The day-long program is scheduled for Sept. 23, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., at the Mike and Josie Harper Center for Student Life and Learning ballroom on campus. The workshop is a rare opportunity to learn best business practices from Disney insiders and discover ways to adapt those best practices to a company or an organization.
“At Creighton and in our College of Business we understand the value of practical real-world business experience as part of the learning paradigm…and the value for business leaders who focus energy on employee development. They can reap immense rewards with strengthened morale and retention during these challenging economic times,” said Anthony R. Hendrickson, Ph. D., dean of the College of Business.
The day-long workshop will feature four 90-minute sessions:
- Leadership: Discover how effective leadership has been the catalyst at Disney to drive employee/customer satisfaction and bottom-line results.
- Management: Examine the importance of integrating an organization’s corporate culture into the selection, training and care of employees.
- Service. Explore world-renowned Disney principles for service excellence.
- Loyalty: Learn key practices that have built Disney brand for more than 75 years.
“What makes the Disney learning experience so different and meaningful is we don’t simply teach theory. We showcase philosophies and strategies that have made Disney Parks and Resorts a success—ideas that are easily adaptable to other organizations,” said George Aguel, senior vice president for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.
