Abuissa Joins Creighton Medical Associates

Hussam Abuissa, M.D., has joined Creighton Medical Associates as a cardiologist at the Creighton Cardiac Center.

An assistant professor in the School of Medicine, Abuissa is board certified in both internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases. His subspecialty is cardiac electrophysiology, and he will help introduce an atrial fibrillation ablation and complex arrhythmia management program to Creighton.

Abuissa received his fellowship training in clinical cardiac electrophysiology from Mayo Clinic School of Medicine in Rochester, Minn. Prior to that, he completed a cardiovascular disease and preventive cardiology fellowship and an internal medicine residency at University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Medicine/Mid-America. He holds a bachelorís degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Jordan, in Amman, Jordan.

Abuissa sees patients at The Cardiac Centerís main office at 3006 Webster St., and in Onawa, Iowa. He has privileges at Creighton University Medical Center, Bergan Mercy Medical Center and Lakeside Hospital. To schedule a patient appointment, call 402.280.4566.
